I wish you could know my sweet grandmother. She is one of those people that just makes you feel loved, excited, and happy all at the same time. We grew up calling her, “Nanny.” (By the way, she’s still my Nanny!) It’s always fun to watch her get excited and do the Nanny stomp!
She recently shared with me a story. She had been to the doctor and received a very good report! It was a load lifted off of her mind. As she was home, she was talking to God and just happy for the prayers He has answered for her. Out of nowhere, she raised her hand and gave a thumbs up!
My grandfather looked at her and said, “What on earth are you doing?” She said, “I’m giving God a thumbs up!”
Have you given God a thumbs up today? The Bible tells us to praise the Lord!
Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. – Psalm 146:1
So, whether in prayer, in song, by an uplifted hand, tears down your cheek, a verbal “Amen,” or a thumbs up, today is a good day to praise the Lord!
He has been SO good to me!
